ASUS Transformer Prime 2 Leaked Online – Possible iPad 3 Competitor?

ASUS Transformer Prime 2 Leaked Online – Possible iPad 3 Competitor? With no official word regarding specs, scheduled release date or even the existence of the device in any sense, images have surfaced online claiming to offer the very first look at a new, next-generation tablet PC from ASUS.

According to those responsible for the leak, the Android device with the codename of TF300T is set to take pride of place at the very top of the ASUS tablet ladder and indeed the Android market as a whole – suggesting that the device could indeed be the successor to the astonishingly successful Transformer Prime.

Needless to say, should the as-yet unannounced device turn out to be the fabled ASUS Transformer Prime 2, the iPad 3 may be given quite the run for its money to say the least.

All estimates are now pointing to an iPad 3 release date sometime in the next six-weeks or so, with a possible unveiling be Apple later this month. However, a new range of high-end Android tablets are already earmarked for release in the early stages of 2012, looking to add a new dynamic to what has so far been a once-horse race

The Transformer Prime 2 will perhaps join the ranks of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus Tablet and the Amazon Kindle Fire 2 in the race for tablet superiority, as the market becomes more and more lucrative by the day.
