With the new 2012 MacBook Air range earmarked for arrival almost immediately after the upcoming iPad 3 release date, new reports are suggesting that a 14 inch model will be introduced in response to huge demand in the Asian market.
According to newly published industry reports, Apple is looking to make extensive efforts to secure a lucrative share of the PC market in Asia, where it currently accounts for the highest number of tablet PC sales and also ranks number one in the Smartphone market with its iPhone range.
As such, in order to tap into what is said to be a deep ‘love’ for 14 inch notebook, Apple is said to be preparing the launch of a new 14 inch MacBook Air, which would mark the biggest display the range has every boasted.
If true, full production may already be well underway for an imminent launch following the arrival of the iPad 3.
Analysts across the industry have stated in no uncertain terms that such a move by Apple is a clear and well-planned response to the threat posed by the upcoming Windows 8 OS, which upon release is likely to see a world of next-generation Ultrabooks hit the market and severely compromise Apple’s sovereignty.
